Meet the Founder & Head Coach of Amble Coaching, Amanda.
Amanda discovered her love for handstands when she started Artistic Gymnastics at the age of 4. She then spent her entire childhood training and competing gymnastics at a national level before transitioning her focus to Contemporary Dance as a teenager. After being introduced to Contemporary Circus, Amanda dove head first into the acrobatic industry, which allowed her to combine her love for physical skill and her passion for creativity.
In 2017 Amanda obtained a Bachelor of Circus Arts from the National Institute of Circus Arts in Melbourne, where she specialised in Hand Balancing and trained handstands every day for 3 years under elite level training in Russian technique.
Amanda is currently in the midst of her career as a professional acrobat, through which she has had the privilege of touring the world with internationally leading Contemporary Circus companies such as C!RCA Contemporary Circus and Gravity & Other Myths, and is now the Director of the multi-award winning Sound of Circus Australia.
In order to foster an elite level of skill, Amanda recognises the importance of building a healthy, balanced lifestyle. As a qualified Pilates instructor, Amanda prioritises longevity in her training by using strength & mobility conditioning to reduce the risk of injury and to increase overall skill longevity.
Amanda is passionate about sharing the power of handstands, and created Amble Coaching as a platform to increase the accessibility of specialised handstand training. Amanda’s gentle and empathetic approach to coaching allows her community to feel empowered, even through mistakes and wobbles.
If you have been looking for a handstand coach, Amanda is your girl.
